Lunchtime at Chapel House

The Chapel House lunchtime menu is carefully crafted to appeal to a wide range of appetites and tastes from small-eaters who want a "quick bite" during their lunch hour, to those who wish to entertain in daylight. Our light and sunny dining room overlooks the pretty garden - rarely seen in the evenings. Informal and friendly, our attention to detail is nevertheless as high quality as our regular diners have come to expect in the evening. Dishes can easily be modified to suit special dietary requirements.

Roasted Mediterranean vegetables in a cheese pastry cup, topped with goat's cheese

 

Madeiran Mushroom (s) (v)

Large flat mushroom filled with confit of onion,topped with goat’s cheese, baked and set on a Madeira sauce

Pasta Italienne with King Prawns (s)

Pasta with king prawns (may be omitted for vegetarian option), tomato concasse and herbs

 

Smoked Salmon (s)

Plate of smoked salmon garnished with dressed mixed salad and served with brown bread and butter

Salmon with a white wine and parsley sauce, garnished with spinach and buttered new potatoes

 

Sausage & Mash

Two of Bates’ best  Lincolnshire sausages, mashed potato and red wine and onion sauce

 

Pork

Slices of pork fillet with a creamy peppercorn

Sauce, served with roasted Mediterranean vegetables and mashed potato

Smoked chicken breast, sliced and garnished with dressed mixed salad and stilton mayonnaise
